Case Study —

Pouring a New Idea Into a Pitch Deck

Designing an investor pitch deck that transforms an emerging kegerator vending concept into a clear, compelling, and investment-ready story.

Client: KVM TechnologiesRole: Senior Graphic DesignerDeliverables: Investor pitch deck, visual identity direction, information design, data visualization, product presentation, and a cohesive presentation system.

BACKGROUND

The project involved designing an investor pitch deck for a startup developing automated kegerator vending machines. The primary design challenge was making a new and somewhat unfamiliar product concept feel immediately understandable, credible, and visually compelling. The deck needed to communicate a lot of information without becoming overly dense, while establishing a visual identity that felt innovative enough for a startup and polished enough for an investor audience.

The design process focused heavily on visual hierarchy, pacing, and information structure. Product imagery was used to establish context and give the concept a tangible presence, while typography, spacing, and grid systems created consistency across the presentation. Charts, diagrams, and supporting graphics were simplified to make business and market information easier to scan. The overall direction balanced clean, modern layouts with bold visual moments, creating a presentation that felt confident and intentional while allowing the product and business opportunity to remain the focus.
